PJHL Wrap: Ironmen Shut Out Hawks, Bulldogs Beat Exeter

Wingham 2 Mitchell 0

Devon Carson stopped all 19 shots he faced and the Wingham Ironmen defeated Mitchell 2-0.

Parker Gibbons goal just five minutes into the first period would stand as the game winner. Connor Gibson added insurance on the power play with less than two minutes left in the opening frame.

Wingham out shot the Hawks 27-19.

Mt Brydges 4 Exeter 2

Despite goals from Kyle Hern and Liam Melady, the Exeter Hawks lost 4-2 to Mt. Brydges.

Brant Galbraith stopped 29 shots in the loss. Morgan Reed earned the win for the Bulldogs with a 34 save performance.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
