Suspect arrested for indecent exhibition on Hanover's Community Trail

A Hanover man is facing charges after police received several weekend reports of a naked man on Hanover's Community Trail system.

Saturday morning, Hanover officers with assistance from the South Bruce OPP searched the community trail and the adjacent bush lot and found a man not wearing pants, who was in the process of dressing. Police had received a similar complaint Friday evening about a naked man on the trail.

A 37-year-old Hanover man was taken into custody.

He faces criminal charges of causing a disturbance by indecent exhibition and mischief by interfering with the lawful enjoyment of property.

The suspect was later released from custody on an officer-in-charge undertaking with conditions not to be on or near Hanover’s Community Trail System. He is scheduled to appear in a Walkerton court to answer to the charges.

The Hanover Police Service would also like to speak with any witnesses who observed this suspect either Friday evening or Saturday morning.
