'Weeding Out The Myths'

The police chief of Saugeen Shores is among several local professionals who are trying to help parents of teenagers navigate through an avalanche of information about marijuana.

The Community Drug and Alcohol Strategy of Grey Bruce is holding a series of panel discussions leading up to the federal government's October 17 legalization of marijuana.

The public session, called "Weeding Out the Myths", is scheduled for Wednesday, October 3 at 7 p.m. at the Saugeen Shores Plex.

Chief of Police Mike Bellai will be on the panel, discussing the facts and fiction of legalization.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
