Public meeting Tuesday night on Normanby Landfill future

The Municipality of West Grey will hold a public meeting Tuesday evening on the operating status of the Normanby Landfill.

Mayor Kevin Eccles has confirmed there is no environmental concern, but the meeting will be used to examine all options, as well as making residents of the area aware of alternative options within the municipality.

Eccles said "the landfill has met its capacity.  There was x-number of cubic metres, and we've hit that."

The meeting will be held at the Normanby Arena Complex in Ayton and will begin at 7 p.m.
