Minto CAO announces retirement

Minto CAO Bill White has announced plans to leave his municipal administration career after 35 years.

He's been clerk-CAO of Minto for the past eight years.

White is retiring to spend more time with family. He also plans to work on local MP John Nater’s re-election campaign in 2019.

Minto Mayor George Bridge credited White with grooming a young and enthusiastic municipal staff of which 24 of 40 are under 40 years of age.

White’s last day on the job in Minto will be December 14.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
