The expanded casino will occupy the Hanover, Bentinck and Brant Agricultural Society's Carriage Hall, located at the back of the current facility that has sat empty for several years.

Gateway Director of Communications & Public Affairs Rob Mitchell said work on the Carriage Hall building has already begun, and he expects everything to be completed in late December.

Hanover, Mayor Sue Patterson said the destination will offer local jobs and an economic boom to the entire region.
