Perth East prepares for possible mail strike

The township of Perth East is also preparing for possible Canada Post mail strike.

It would mean disruption is possible for mail delivery of important municipal documents including accounts payable and receivables, utility bills, property tax payments, permit inspection reports, notices and completion letters.

The Township of Perth East has asked residents not to mail payments a few days prior to or during the potential strike, as mail may not be delivered and your payment could arrive late, which will result in a penalty.

People have a number of alternative ways to pay invoices or bills in the event of a postal strike, including a pre-authorized pay plan, in person at the municipal office, at the bank, or over the phone.

For any questions regarding your payment amounts, please contact the Township of Perth East Municipal Office at 519-595-2800 or in person, 25 Mill Street East in Milverton.
