Attack Open Season with a Loss

Barrie 9 Owen Sound 2

Daylon Groulx put the Attack on the board early, scoring unassisted midway through the first but it would be a short lived lead. Matej Pekar answered for the Colts and Barrie went on to score five unanswered goals in the second enroute to a 9-2 victory.

Markus Phillips also scored for the Attack.

Pekar led the Colts with a pair of goals and an assist. Sam Rhodes goal midway through the second would stand as the game winner.

Mack Guzda suffered the loss for Owen Sound, stopping 31 of the 40 shots he faced.

Maksim Zhukov made 35 saves in the win for Barrie.

Windsor 4 Guelph 3 (OT)

Luke Kutkevicius scored the game winner at 2:03 of the extra frame and Windsor beat Guelph 4-3.

Liam Hawel scored for Guelph and Nate Schnarr had a goal and as assist.

Kutkevicius also had an assist for the Spitfires.
