Hawks win in Overtime

Jake Finlayson scored the game winner on the power play to lift Mitchell over Goderich 6-5.

The Hawks jumped out to an early lead with Ryan Murray and Brandon Williams scoring within the first five minutes of play. Mitch Fisher's power play goal at 7:46 and Riley Conner's short handed goal at 17:04 of the first would tie the game heading into the second.

Sean Chisholm gave the Hawks the lead again, scoring in the first half of the second. Ethan Hill added to it at 15:53 before Brad Watson scored on the power play with just 19 seconds left in the period to put the Flyers to within a point

Eric Vander Eyk tied the game less than three minutes into the final period and Watson's second goal of the game gave the Flyers the lead for the first time in the game.

It was Spencer Dowd who sent the game into overtime, scoring with just 17 seconds remaining with the extra attacker on the ice.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
