Renovated administration building reopens in Grey County

The renovated and expanded Grey County Administration Building is officially open.

Dignitaries, staff, friends and family gathered to cut the ribbon on the facility. It doubles the size of the 58-year-old building. Grey County Warden Stewart Halliday said the old one was in need of costly repairs and staff needed more space.

"Certainly our staff were cramped. The county is expanding in population and size and needs and I would think we're building this for the next 50 years," said Halliday.

The expansion of the Grey County Administration building cost approximately $11 million.
