Grey County OPP obtain arrest warrant in death investigation

The OPP in Grey County have obtained a Canada-wide arrest warrant for a former Grey Highlands resident.

Jessica Leigh Morrison, 41, is wanted on charges of criminal negligence causing death, trafficking a controlled substance, and selling a prescription drug recklessly.

The charges stem from a lengthy investigation into the death of a woman in July of 2017.

Danielle Barham, 23, was going through opioid withdrawal treatment when she was found in medical distress at a Grey Highlands residence on July 18 of 2017. She died in the Owen Sound hospital two days later.

Police say Jessica Morrison's last known address was in Fort McMurray, Alberta.

Anyone with information that can assist Grey County OPP is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
