Owen Sound voter information session to be held

Owen Sound residents can learn everything they need to know to vote in the upcoming municipal election.

A voter information session will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. in the auditorium of the Owen Sound and North Grey Union Public Library. Electors can ask questions about the voting process for the upcoming.

Internet and telephone voting will be used for the 2018 municipal election in Owen Sound. Electors will be able to cast votes anywhere with access to the internet or a touchtone telephone including help centres throughout the city. Rotary phones may not be used. There will be no paper ballots for this election.

Votes can be cast from 10 a.m. on Friday, October 12, 2018, to 8 p.m. on Monday, October 22, 2018. Votes can be cast 24 hours a day during the Voting Period.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
