One-year extension to Wingham Trailer Park agreement

North Huron council has voted to extend an agreement that will see the Royal Canadian Legion branch in Wingham continue to operate the adjacent Wingham Trailer Park.

Reeve Neil Vincent said having the Legion operate the park allows town staff to remain focused on municipal activities, and not be pulled away to address issues at the park.

He pointed to the Legion's strong volunteer base as a "big positive" when it comes to tackling problems among trailer park residents.

Vincent said the one-year extension will allow a new council to discuss future plans after the end of the current deal.
