Alzheimer Society hosting annual gala this month

The Grey-Bruce Alzheimers Society is hosting their annual gala this month.

This year the gala will feature internationally recognized photographs that were donated to the Grey-Bruce chapter by local Owen Sound artist Tony Luciani and his mother Elia, who is suffering from dementia.

The photographs they produced together are meant to be a beautiful and thought-provoking exploration of dementia and its effects.

The event is at the Best Western Inn on the bay in Owen Sound on October 20. It will feature dinner, as well as a live and silent auction. Tickets for the event are $100 with a $40 tax receipt. Larger groups and full tables can purchase at a discounted rate. Tickets are available online at Alzheimer.ca/greybruce or by phoning the Alzheimer Society office at (519) 376-7230.
