OPP drug warrant executed in Brucefield

A Central Huron man appears in Goderich court Wednesday to face a number of charges laid after a police search warrant was executed in Brucefield.

During the course of the search last Thursday at a property on Ellen Street in Brucefield, OPP officers seized methamphetamine, marijuana, GHB and Ecstasy. The combined value of the seized drugs is estimated at more than $23,000.

Police also seized trafficking paraphernalia, over $7,000 in Canadian currency, and a stolen 2018 Can-Am Outlander all-terrain vehicle valued at $12,000.

David Stoll, 53, of Central Huron has been charged with a number of possession and trafficking charges, as well as possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and failing to comply with recognizance.

He was held in custody over the weekend, with a court appearance scheduled for Wednesday in Goderich.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
