Perth East re-brands recreation department

The recreation department in Perth East has a new name and a new look.

The Perth East Recreation Complex has unveiled its new logo and department title. It will now be known as the Township of Perth East’s Recreation and Community Services Department.

Manager of Recreation and Community Services Becky Westman pointed out that after the completion of the Parks and Recreation Master Plan earlier this year, it was recognized that recreation to the community of Perth East is more than what occurs at the Perth East Recreation Complex.

The department extends its resources to strengthen the entire Perth East community through programs, services, parks and facilities that promote healthy lifestyles and community development.

Perth East resident Michele Carter created a new logo which reflects how the community values its parks, arts, culture, sports and family. The colours reflect the Township of Perth East’s existing logo.
