Application deadline for Huron Heritage Fund

The deadline for funding applications through the Huron County Heritage Fund is fast approaching.

County Museum Senior Curator Elizabeth French-Gibson says applications will be accepted up to November 1.

French-Gibson says since the fund was established in 2007, it's funded a wide range of heritage projects like a heritage book, staging a heritage event, and even some heritage restorations.

"The funding limit for groups would be a maximum of $5,000, which is matching funds, so you would have to provide at least five-thousand dollars to match that and we pay that money once the project is completed," she said.

She says as long as the applicant lives in Huron County there's a good chance their application will be successful.
