Wingham and Kincardine are victorious in Interdivisional action

Wingham 9 Huntsville 2

The Wingham Ironmen jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first and never looked back as they topped Huntsville 9-2.

The Ironmen were 5 for 10 on the power play including a hat trick by Matt Tolton, all with the man advantage. Tolton also had two assists in the win.

Jamie Huber picked up four points, a pair of goals and two assists for Wingham and Shane Vollmer scored and set up three for the Ironmen.

Other scorers: Logan Tolton, Tanner Reid and Brayden Fischer.

Devon Carson earned the win with 21 saves.

Kincardine 4 Orillia 2

Kincardine's Mike Fiegehen put the Bulldogs ahead midway throught he third and Tyler Sutter added insurance just over five minutes later and Kincardine doubled Orillia 4-2.

Brett Burrows opened the scoring for the Bulldogs on the power play late in the first making it a tie game.

Joshua Traynor put the Bulldogs ahead less than two minutes into the second but Corey Miller tied it for the Terriers with a power play goal just before the eight minute mark.

Traynor had a goal and an assist in the win and Jordan Caskenette set up two for the Bulldogs.

Craig Luinstra stopped 35 shots for Kincardine.

Caledon 5 Mitchell 1

Jarett Bogdon got the Mitchell Hawks lone goal as they lost 5-1 to Caledon.

Mathiau Young led the Golden Hawks with a pair of goals and an assist. Logan Hoover had a pair of goals for Caledon.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
