Attack lose to Bulldogs in a shoot out

Kevin Hancock tied the game midway through the third for Owen Sound but the Attack lost 7-6 to Hamilton in a shoot out.

Matthew Strome had the shoot out winner for the Bulldogs. Sean Durzi set up four of the Attack's goals and Hancock also had three assists.

It was a back-and-forth affair with the Attack scoring twice in the first half of the opening frame before the Bulldogs tied it with just over six minutes left in the period. Maksim Sushko scored with just 32 seconds left in the first to make it 3-2 Owen Sound heading into the second.

Hamilton's Mackenzie Entwistle opened the scoring in the second, just 35 seconds into the middle frame to tie the game again. Arthur Kaliyev put the Bulldogs ahead less than five minutes later. Suzuki's second of the game evened the score before the midway point but Kaliyev would find the back of the Attack's net yet again, making it 5-4 for Hamilton heading into the third.

Alan Lyszczarczyk tied the game for a fourth time less than a minute-and-a-half into the third. Entwistle's second of the game would give the Bulldogs a short lived lead before Hancock's equalizer sent the game into overtime.

The Attack are back in action Friday night when they visit the Sarnia Sting.
