Drug charges after van stopped in Exeter

A woman and a teenager face drug charges after a traffic stop in Exeter.

It happened Thursday night around 9 p.m.

A van was stopped and after a search, police seized the van and some cocaine.

The 17-year old male driver from Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh was charged and so was the passenger, Kesha Weitzel, 24, from Goderich. The charges include possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.

Following up Friday morning, police searched a Goderich home and found more cocaine, MDMA, also known as ecstasy, and methamphetamine. The value of the drugs, just over $2,000.

Charges are pending against two additional adults that were found at the home but police did not release names.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
