One man injured in minivan crash south of Goderich

A section of Bluewater Veteran's Highway 21 was closed south of Goderich for several hours Thursday because of a single-vehicle crash.

Shortly after 2 p.m., Huron County Paramedic Services and the OPP responded to the crash scene between Black's Point Road and Bluewater Beach Road.

A minivan travelling north crossed the centre line and entered into the west ditch. The vehicle then crashed into a hydro pole which brought down the hydro lines.

The male driver was taken to hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Hydro crews were on the scene to begin repairs to the lines and the pole.

Highway 21 reopened around 7 p.m. last evening.
