Male Arrested After Bomb Threat Hoax

For the second time in as many days, the Owen Sound Police had to make an arrest after another false bomb report.

Just after 11 pm on Friday night, a 25-year-old Owen Sound male became upset when a liquor-licensed establishment on 8th street in Owen Sound refused his entry. The male then contacted police and claimed a bomb was in the building. Police evacuated and searched the building, and found the claim was false and confirmed it to be a hoax.

As a result, the 25-year-old male was arrested, and has a November court date scheduled to answer to the charges.
