South Huron Trail steel bridge about one month away

Work on the Jones Pedestrian Bridge on the South Huron Trail is on schedule.

Tim Cumming of the Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority said there's still a lot work to do as far as footings, abutments and piers before the bridge can be put in place.

The 52-metre steel bridge has already been constructed, and installation should be completed by the end of November.

Cumming added fund-raising is still continuing. $235,000 has already been raised, but they need an additional $65,000.
