Teen charged in fatal Stratford crash

A Burlington man is facing charges after a single-vehicle collision claimed the life of a 19-year-old man.

Stratford police say it happened around 3:30 a.m. Sunday in the area of Embro Rd. and Erie St. The vehicle, a Chrysler 300, was traveling westbound on Embro Rd. when it hit a boulevard, traveled across Erie St. and came to rest on the lawn on the northwest side of Erie St.

There were three passengers in the vehicle and all were rushed to hospital.    One of the passengers, a male, died of his injuries.     The other two remain in hospital in fair condition.    The victim has not yet been identified.

The driver, a 19-year-old male from Burlington, has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing death and is being held for a bail hearing.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
