PJHL Wrap: Walkerton and Kincardine lose interdivisional games

Stayner 5 Kincardine 2

The Stayner Siskins scored four back-to-back goals in the second and went on to beat Kincardine 5-2 in interdivisional play.

Brett Burrows and Logan Swanton scored for the Bulldogs early in the third.

Kyle Challis led the Siskins with a hat trick.

Midland 4 Walkerton 3 (OT)

Spencer Elder had a hat trick for Walkerton but it wasn't enough as the Hawks lost 4-3 to Midland in overtime.

Elder opened the scoring just 1:40 into the game. Jake Dabrowski answered for Midland 42 seconds later. Jake Fower gave the Siskins a 2-1 lead just past the midway point of the opening frame.

Elder was the only player to score in the second, firing one past Brody Read just a minute into the period and notching a power play goal with eight seconds left in the frame.

Hunter Godmere tied the game at 5:44 of the third. Broderick Black scored the game winner at 3:33 of overtime.

Hanover 5 Goderich 2

Brandon Richardson struck twice and set up another in the Hanover Barons 5-2 win over Goderich. Colton Culbert set up two of the Barons' goals.

Alex Paylor, Mark Aljoe and Brett Zabel also scored for the Barons.

The Flyers got goals from Cody Treble and Trent Michie.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
