Grey-Bruce Health Unit honours retiring health inspector

The Grey-Bruce Health Unit honoured retiring Public Health Inspector Christina Milani recently with a retirement ceremony.

Milani served 30 years as a public health inspector for the health unit. She worked originally with the Bruce County Health Unit in Walkerton and Southampton before transferring to Owen Sound following the formation of the Grey-Bruce Public Health Unit.

During her tenure, among many other cases, Milani's relentless investigation led to the discovery of a cause of a salmonella outbreak in 1992 at a local hospital.
