Two women and toddler taken to hospital after Mapleton crash

The condition of a Palmerston woman was upgraded to 'stable' Thursday after she suffered major injuries in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon.

The 52-year-old woman was the driver of a car that was in a collision with a transport truck at the intersection in the hamlet of Parker in Mapleton Township.

Two family members were with her in the car.    A 29-year-old woman and a 1-year-old boy suffered non-life threatening injuries.     They are also from Palmerston.

The transport driver was not injured.

Members of the Wellington County OPP and Technical Collision Investigators continue to investigate.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
