Owen Sound police looking for driver who hit pedestrian

Owen Sound police are looking for the driver of an SUV after a pedestrian was struck Tuesday morning.

Police were called to the area of 10th Street West and 7th Avenue West around 10:30 a.m. after a vehicle struck a pedestrian who was using the crosswalk to cross 10th Street West.

The 17-year-old student suffered minor injuries.

The driver stopped briefly, before leaving the scene. The vehicle is described as a red SUV.

The driver, or anyone with information, is asked to contact the Owen Sound Police Service.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
