GOJHL Wrap: Cyclones and Warriors earn wins

Listowel 3 Waterloo 2

Brayden Krieger scored the game winner on the power play in the latter half of the third as the Listowel Cyclones edged the Waterloo Siskins 3-2.

Krieger assisted on the Cyclones other two goals.

It was a back-and-forth affair with Listowel opening the scoring midway through the second. Waterloo answered before the period was over making it a tie game.

Holdyn Lansink scored for Listowel early in the third and the Siskins' Sam Shakes tied it again before the midway point.

Stratford 4 Elmira 3

Sean Ross had the game winner at 4:13 of the second overtime and the Stratford Warriors edged Elmira 4-3. Ross also had an assist in the win.

Luke Israel tied the game early in the third for Elmira.

The Warriors scored two early goals in the first to take a 2-0 lead. Hunter Dubecki put the Sugar Kings on the board before the period was over.

Ryan Cullen extended the Warriors lead with a power play goal just over three minutes into the second period. Jonah Burley scored a power play goal of his own with just 20 seconds left in the second to put the Sugar Kings within a goal.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
