Proposed 2019 budget approved by ABCA Board

Board members of the Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority have approved a budget that is being passed on to their member municipalities for consideration.

General Manager Brian Horner says a draft budget presented to the board called for a 3.1 per cent increase, and board members suggested they'd like to see something closer to two per cent.

Horner explains they were able to find twelve to thirteen thousand dollars in savings, and used some of their reserves - so they can still go ahead with the projects in the original budget.

The Board approved an increase of 2.12 per cent, which will be sent to member municipalities for final approval.
