ATM stolen from Orangeville bank

The Orangeville Police Service is investigating the theft of an ATM from a drive-up bank kiosk.

Between 2:30 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. on Sunday, November 18, an automated teller machine from the Royal Bank drive-up kiosk was stolen.

Officers suspect people travelling in a pick-up truck removed the ATM, which was later located close to a walking trail on the south side of Broadway.

The suspects were unable to gain entry to the ATM.

Earlier this year, police requested business owners in Midwestern Ontario evaluate the benefit of having an ATM in their store, calling them easy targets for thieves.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to contact Crime Stoppers.
