UPDATE; Man taken to hospital following propane explosion in Chesley

The Ontario Fire Marshal's Office and the Ministry of Labour are still investigating a fire that sent a 23-year-old male employee of Sparlings Propane to the hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The fire involving a Sparlings Propane truck on 3rd Avenue SW in Chesley happened on November 21, 201,8 just after 5:00 p.m.

Chesley Fire Department attended the scene and was able to extinguish the fire.

The South Bruce Crime Unit says the cause of the fire has not been determined at this time.

The South Bruce OPP is requesting anyone with information that can assist police to call 1-888-310-1122. Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
