New Port Elgin traffic signals

The Town of Saugeen Shores says the traffic signals at Devonshire Road and Goderich Street in Port Elgin are now in operation.

Motorists are reminded to pay attention to the roads, obey the signals and be patient with one another as all drivers become comfortable with the new controls at this intersection.

The town said motorists will be able to turn onto the highway from Devonshire Road more easily now. This will be the access point to the new Holiday Inn Express when it is built, as well as the new homes within the Summerside and Northport Meadows subdivisions.

The traffic signals will include advance green left turns for northbound and southbound traffic.
