Arrest made in Wingham vandalism incidents

Police in Wingham have made an arrest in connection with a series of mischief incidents in the town last week.

Between Tuesday and Saturday, police investigated a number of vandalism incidents, including several broken windows.

On Saturday, the Wingham Police Service arrested 36-year-old Christopher Mactavish of no fxed address.

He's been charged with three counts of mischief under $5,000 and three counts of breaching probation.

Mactavish was held in custody over the weekend, and appears for a bail hearing Monday in Goderich court.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
