Five Wellington County residents rushed to hospital after crash

Wellington County OPP are now looking for witnesses after a serious collision east of Mount Forest sent five local people to hospital.

The OPP said two local men are still in critical condition following a head-on crash Monday morning.

It happened about 8 a.m. when an SUV and a minivan had collided on Concession Road 6N, south of Highway 89.  That road was closed for several hours while OPP Technical Collision Investigators were at the scene.

The 45-year-old male driver of the van and 69-year-old male passenger were both transported to a trauma centre in critical condition. A 29-year-old mother and two two-year-old children from the SUV were transported with non-life-threatening injuries and released shortly thereafter.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
