Wellington North council ready for growth

Wellington North Council’s inauguration on Monday saw the entire previous council back for another term.

The four councillors were acclaimed and Mayor Andy Lennox won at the polls.

Lennox said the voters appear to want the same team to take the municipality forward.

In his inaugural remarks, he predicted growth will be the biggest challenge facing council in the next term. But he added growth also brings with it the opportunity for benefits such as increased services.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
