Chesley bridge to re-open to limited traffic this Friday

The Chesley Main Street Bridge is expected to open to limited traffic this Friday.

The bridge on 1st Avenue in Chesley had to be rebuilt after icy floodwaters damaged it beyond repair in February.

The site is still considered a construction zone and there is a 40 kilometres per hour speed limit and pedestrian access will be restricted to the east sidewalk of the bridge.

The rest of the work will be done in the spring.
