Federal minister coming to Durham for firearms consultation

The federal Minister of Border Security and Organized Crime Reduction will be part of a public forum in the Bruce-Grey riding.

MP Larry Miller invited Bill Blair to the riding back in September to hear from rural Canadians as part of his firearms consultations.

That has resulted in a public meeting being set for Sunday, February 3, at the Durham Community Centre.  It's an afternoon session, running from 2 p.m to 4 p.m.

Miller said it was a long process to schedule the consultation, but he appreciates that the minister is able to come to the area to hear rural views on firearms.
