Two Central Huron residents killed in SUV rollover

Two people were killed in a single vehicle rollover west of Clinton Christmas Day.

Police say at around 6:30 p.m. Huron County OPP, Huron County Paramedic Services and Central Huron Fire Department personnel were dispatched to the crash scene located on Telephone Rd. west of Fish & Game Line.     They found an SUV that had left the road, overturned and was submerged in water.

Both the driver and passenger were removed from the vehicle and transported to hospital where they were pronounced deceased.

They have been identified as George Rich, 72, and Mary Wood, 69, both from Central Huron.
