Fire at Saugeen First Nation considered 'suspicious'

Police in Bruce Peninsula are asking for the public's assistance after a residential fire in Saugeen First Nation.

According to the Ontario Provincial Police, the fire on Kewageshig Street started around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The Saugeen First Nation Fire Department extinguished the fire and have deemed it 'suspicious'.  No injuries were reported.

The Grey County Crime Unit and South Bruce Crime Unit are assisting the Fire Marshall's Office with the investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 1-888-310-1122.    Anonymous information can be sent by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
