Bulldogs score three in the third to beat the Barons

The Bulldogs scored three unanswered goals in the third period and rallied to beat Hanover 4-2.

Mark Aljoe gave the Barons the lead with a goal at 7:02 of the first.

Logan Freiburger's power play goal early in the second tied the game for the Bulldogs until Alex Paylor scored for the Barons just over three minutes later.

Ethan Long sparked the Bulldogs rally with the equalizer midway through the final frame. Brent West scored the game winner with just over 2:30 left in regulation. Jordan Caskenette's empty netter with two seconds left added insurance for the host team.

The Bulldogs were led by Long who scored and set up two more. Caskenette and Freiburger each had a goal and an assist in the win.

Craig Luinstra made 21 saves for Kincardine. Brendon Landry took the loss for the Barons, stopping 42 of the 45 shots he faced.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
