Stratford bank finds fake $100 bills

Two counterfeit bills have been discovered at a bank in Stratford.

Staff at the downtown RBC in Stratford discovered counterfeit $100 bills in two separate deposits earlier this week.

The Stratford Police Service said officers are investigating the counterfeit money but don't believe the customers who made the deposits knew the bills were fake.

The detachment noted that any business owners who suspect they have received a counterfeit bill should contact police immediately, as timely reporting of these incidents is important to finding the people responsible.
