Bluewater ready to work out details for Bayfield Arena

The mayor of the Municipality of Bluewater is pleased that a long-term agreement for the operation of the Bayfield Arena is closer.

Paul Klopp said it means there will be ice in the arena for the foreseeable future while a long-term agreement is worked out with members of the Bayfield Facility Initiative Team.

"Our manager of services is going to be sitting down with Sandy and whomever, and start talking about what do we need for things like insurance, issues of liability," he said.

Klopp said there is no deadline for an agreement but their Manager appreciates the wish of council for an agreement as soon as possible and is going to start working on the negotiations right away.
