Police investigating after child injured by school bus

Police are investigating after a young child was injured by a school bus.

Thursday morning at 8:52 am, Grey County OPP were called after a four-year-old girlwas injured in an incident at St. Vincent-Euphrasia Elementary School in Meaford.

The student had exited the bus, fell off balance and stepped in front of the bus as it pulled away. The child was rushed to a local hospital with a leg injury.

Grey County OPP continue to investigate the incident.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
