Two killed in West Grey collision

A two-vehicle collision in the Municipality of West Grey Wednesday evening claimed the lives of two people.

The crash involved a car and an SUV on Highway 6, north of Rocky Saugeen Road, just before 5:30 p.m.

Both occupants of the car were killed.  They have been identified as 46-year-old Duane Drinkle of Owen Sound and 31-year-old Lydia Wilson of Owen Sound.

The driver of the SUV was transported to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The cause of the collision is currently being investigated by OPP Technical Collision Investigators.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
