Owen Sound man charged following head-on crash

A driver has been charged after a head-on crash in Owen Sound sent two people to hospital.

The Owen Sound Police Service said on Friday around 2:30 p.m., a red Honda travelling north-east on Alpha Street crossed into the opposite lane and collided with a grey Hyundai that was travelling in the opposite direction up a hill near 7th Avenue 'A' West.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and both drivers were taken to hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

Both vehicles were significantly damaged and had to be towed.

As a result of the crash, a 41-year-old Owen Sound man is now charged with failing to share the roadway.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
