Advanced registration needed for Owen Sound Leader's Forum

The Chamber of Commerce in Owen Sound has released the lineup for its next Leader's Forum, and is asking people interested in attending to register in advance.

The forum is scheduled for Tuesday, February 5 at the Best Western Inn-on-the-Bay. It's a breakfast meeting, starting at 7:15 a.m., with the forum to begin around 7:45 a.m.

Participants include Owen Sound Mayor Ian Boddy, Grey County Warden Selwyn Hicks, Meaford Mayor Barb Clumpus, Chatsworth Mayor Scott McKey, and Georgian Bluffs Mayor Dwight Burley.

Chamber members and non-members are asked to register in advance on the Owen Sound Chamber of Commerce website.

The main discussion topic will be, "What is the path forward to overcome roadblocks hampering economic growth and municipal cooperation in North Grey?"

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
