Harriston boy honoured by Minto council

Minto council has recognized the charitable work of a young Harriston boy.

For the past four summers, Sam Faulkner has operated a lemonade stand and donated the proceeds to worthy causes such as the Mount Forest New Growth Family Centre, the Listowel Hospital and the food bank.

In presenting the Certificate of appreciation Tuesday evening, Mayor George Bridge called the boy a "shining example" of strong youth working for the community.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
