Huron County OPP seek stolen guns

Huron County Ontario Provincial Police officers are seeking tips from the public to help recover firearms stolen in Blyth.

Sometime between 1:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. on January 12, 2019 someone forced entry into a residence located on Drummond Street in Blyth through a patio door. Once inside the home, the thief proceeded to steal four firearms and registration cards from a gun collection.

They got away with a Squires Bingham .22 calibre rifle with a five round magazine, an M1 Carbine .30 calibre rifle, and a Rossi .22 calibre rifle with a dark stock and a tube magazine under the barrel. Also stolen was an unknown make and model long gun, possibly a Chev Arms rifle that has a rough finish.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
