Teen charged with attempted murder in Neyaashiinigmiing First Nation

A 17-year old girl is facing an attempted murder charge after a man was found with serious injuries in Neyaashiinigmiing First Nation.

Cape Croker police and Bruce Peninsula OPP were called to a home on Park Road early Thursday morning after a 27-year old man suffered life-threatening injuries.

The 17-year-old girl, who is from the First Nation reserve, was taken into custody at that time.

Police haven't released any more information about the incident at this time.

An investigation is ongoing and police are asking anyone with information to call 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
